Tip 1: Have your fall protection inspected annually
The lifespan of fall protection varies. Fall protection from our range can last up to ten years. Depending on the intensity of use and the findings after annual checks, the service life may decrease or increase. It is therefore mandatory to have your fall protection inspected at least once a year by an expert. An inspection must also be carried out in case of doubt or after a fall. The label must indicate checks and the next check update.
Tip 2: Check your fall protection before use
In addition to the annual inspection, we recommend that you always check your fall protection before use. First, check the identification label for legibility of the year of manufacture, serial number, and the recent inspection designation. Is there no damage to the textile or cuts? Is the textile completely intact and is there no fraying? Also, check the metal parts and the operation of the fasteners. When all this is in order, you can use your fall protection safely.
Tip 3: Store your fall protection in a correct place
Keep the fall protection away from sharp parts and contaminated places when you transport it. If the textile does get dirty, you can clean it with soap and water. Wipe it with a dry cloth and hang it up in a ventilated area to allow it to dry naturally away from an open flame or heat source. This also applies to parts that have become wet during use. Metal parts should be wiped with a cloth with Vaseline oil. The use of bleach and cleaning products can affect fall protection and is therefore prohibited. Make sure to store your fall protection in a dark and ventilated room with a moderate temperature and away from sunlight, heat, and chemicals.
Tip 4: Don't just do something, ask for advice
