The augers are made of wrought iron and can withstand long-term heavy-duty working conditions such as shipbuilding, bridge building and civil construction. The mechanical auger features a handle and has a working load of 3.2 to 100 tons. The self-locking feature of this jack in the fully enclosed ratchet mechanism rules out engaging of the plunger under pressure of heavy loads, making it extra safe during use.
