Bow shackle with a safety bolt
This is a standard Mitari bow shackle with a safety bolt instead of a screw collar pin, the bolt stays safe and secure thanks to the split pin that comes with it.
It is preferable to use this type of shackle for lifting operations where friction can be exerted on the pin / bolt; a standard screw collar pin could potentially be unscrewed in this scenario, while the safety bolt stayes in place.
The orange pin shackle comes from our private label range and offers a cheaper alternative to the high-quality Green Pin shackle. Available with safe working loads up to 55 tons and internal bow diameters up to 180 mm.
The bow design allows these shackles to carry a load even when loaded at an angle, making them fairly versatile. You can also find dee shackles on our website that are better suited for straight loading applications.
