Dee shackle with safety bolt
These standard Green pin d-shackles come with a safety bolt instead of a screw collar pin, the bolt remains safe and secure thanks to the split pin that comes with it.
It is preferable to use this type of shackle for lifting operations where friction can be exerted on the pin / bolt; a standard screw collar pin could potentially be unscrewed in this scenario, while the safety bolt stayes in place.
The bow and pin are made of grade 6, high strength steel, with high tensile strength for quality assurance and meet all relevant standards such as the green pin Dee shackle with screw collar pin.
The safety factor for these green safety bolt d shackles is 6: 1 - MBL (minimum breaking load) equals 6 x WLL.
The size of the shackle is relevant not only to the type of load it can bear, but also to the situations in which it is suitable for use. Take careful measurements before making your decision as you don't want to choose a product that is too small or too big for the lifting assembly you are making.
