The heavy-duty lifting chain of grade 10. An extra strong lifting chain for various lifting purposes. The chain is painted a blue color. What is the difference between grade 8 and grade 10?
Grade 10 has a better steel specification than grade 8. With grade 10 products you can handle 20 - 25 % higher workload with the same dimensions of the chain (and accessories). The safety factor, duration of testing (20,000 cycles), deformation in case of overload remain the same as grade 8.
Always inspect a lifting chain for damage or wear before using it. Are you unsure whether the chain can still be used? In that case, it is best to submit the chain for inspection at a recognized hoisting and lifting equipment inspection company.
